Bec:
Bec is an extremely capable young woman: she's smart, considerate and sees the best in people. A bit of a tomboy, Bec is always happy to roll up her sleeves for what she sees as the good of the show, in which she really believes. Bec has a nice sense of humour, leaning towards impish. With Pete she finds great amusement in Penny's antics. She is smitten with the show's host, Rick who she thinks is very talented and is flattered when she's entrusted with responsibility by Rick - in actual fact he's treating her like his personal assistant. She thinks that community television is like real television and is afraid of messing up even slightly. She sees Pete as a really great bloke and friend, but is oblivious to his feelings for her.
Rick:
Rick is the host of the program. By day he's mildly successful as middle management in the local bank, but he's convinced he's far more talented and charming than he is and that it's only a matter of time before he's discovered. He expects the crew to treat him as if he's already famous. At 25 he's the oldest of the crew, some would argue he's only the host because he's been there the longest.
Penny:
The ineffective producer of the show. Flighty and scatterbrained, while always trying her hardest to put in 100% she has a habit of focusing on the tiny things when the room is falling down about her. For quality over-reacting you can't go past Penny.
Pete:
Pete is an everyday bloke: personable, helpful, one of the only regular members of the floor-crew. Pete is not a "look at me" type of person like many in the crew who want to make their mark. He sticks around mainly because his friend Bec is in the crew; he has feelings for her. He's a voice of reason in the production, a voice that is rarely listened to.
Dave:
Dave accepts the role of director because of a typo in the show's business card that implies the show has a slightly more risque theme than it really does. This appeals to Dave as his directorial experience includes "Pork the Line" and "Harriette Gobbler and the prisioner in my pants ". He likes working on adult entertainment so much he might just turn this show into some. In his mid-thirties, Dave has the experience and charm to get away with some fast talking.
Suzie:
Suzie is bubbly and excitable. She's stunningly attractive with a full figure. She is, unfortunately, somewhat naive and doesn't realise when people are being nice to her for her looks.
Greg:
A nice guy but is constantly overlooked. He holds an important role but nobody ever pays enough attention to him to ask him what it is. Due to this he's got low self esteem but still manages to maintain his enthusiasm for the show.
Karen:
Make up artist on the show. Always well groomed. She doesn't really like Rick, which makes her a popular person.
Paul:
Paul is a new member of the crew. He's doing his best to learn as much as possible about what the show is all about. Young and always asking questions he's a friendly guy.
Lance:
Tall, young and enthusiastic. This is Lance's first show and he's keen to do sound. He's insecure about his skills but a nice bloke.
Ant:
Ant is the surrealist of the writers' group. His humour runs between baffling and flat out irritating to Rick. His mind seems to be an episode of Monty Pythons Flying Circus running 24/7
Jim:
Jim & Simon are two wise cracking writers. They're aware they're smarter and funnier than Rick, but they don't seem to mind putting up with him as long as they get to annoy him. Often they seem like they share the same mind, finishing each..
Simon:
other's sentences. They riff off each other and try out comedy as part of their everyday conversation. Simon is the drier of the two but not by much.
